In today’s internet based world, buying and selling real estate has become, unfortunately, an impersonal process. You click on a website, scroll through a list of all of the homes that fit your price range and space requirements, sometimes drive by your choices to see the neighborhood, and then call a realtor…only to learn that the house you want is under contract. My purpose for being here is to make certain that doesn’t happen! Checking new listings every day, emailing you updates as they happen, and making sure nothing you might want slips past you is my primary concern. The internet can only take us so far; at some point we need to view the properties that interest you, in person. We study the comparables and prepare a reasonable offer, present it quickly and efficiently, and soon have you headed in the right direction: HOME!”

Suzanne began her real estate career in 1985, and was her firm’s top producer for twelve years before opening Suzanne Cook & Company. She has been a leader in sale’s production in the Longview area for many years. In addition to earning the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) designation, she is also an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Suzanne has been voted one of the “Best Realtors in East Texas” in a Longview News Journal survey multiple times, and has been chosen by her peers as the Longview Area Association of Realtors,’ “Realtor of the Year;” she and her company have been a “People’s Choice” award winner many times. She is past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors, a past director of the Longview Area Association of Realtors, and is a member of the East Texas Builders Association. Suzanne has built her business on personal referrals and repeat clients, and always seems to have that “pocket listing” that is not quite on the market yet.

Suzanne is a graduate of Leadership Longview, an ordained elder at First Presbyterian Church, and a Sustainer in the Junior League. She is past Chairman of the Board of the Longview Chamber of Commerce and is a recipient of the Chairman’s Award for service to the community; she is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and is a past chairman of the Letourneau University’s President’s Advisory Council. Suzanne is the widow of Byron Cook, a Longview general surgeon. She has two sons and two daughters, six grandchildren, and her “adopted” child, a Cavapoo named Dash. She served as fundraising chairman for the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center, and as Director of Development for the Longview Symphony Orchestra. Hobbies include genealogy, reading, and, in her spare time, painting.
